Sciatica

Usually caused when a herniated disc or bone spur in the spine presses on a nerve, sciatic pain radiates along the sciatic nerve and typically runs down one or both legs from the lower back. Often times piriformis syndrome and sciatic pain are mistaken for one another, as both interfere with the sciatic nerve.

SI dysfunctions

Sacroiliac Joint Dysfunction is a condition that results from flawed movement of either one or both of two small firm joints at the base of the spine. It can result in sharp, stabbing pain that radiates from the hips and pelvis, up to the lower back and down to the thighs. It may also feel numb or tingly as if your legs are about to buckle.

Arthritis

Lumbar or spinal arthritis usually develops as a result of osteoarthritis and causes chronic pain or lingering soreness in the bones of the lower spine.

Disc problems

Herniated discs or degenerative disc disease are common disc problems, and typically occur when inner disc material protrudes through a tear in the smaller portion of the disc.
